Moscow, March 5 – Gas shipments from the UK to Europe via one of the most important pipelines, the Interconnector, have been suspended due to equipment failure, as expected through March 8, according to a Bloomberg report, citing the operator.
“Exports via a major pipeline carrying natural gas to Europe from the United Kingdom via Belgium have been halted due to equipment failure,” the agency said in a statement, citing a notice on the operator’s website.
According to preliminary estimates, deliveries have been suspended until March 8.
It is noteworthy that the pipeline has become an important source of energy resources for the European Union after reducing imports from Russia.
