Moscow, April 17 – The Ministry of Reintegration of Ukraine stated that equipment for the selection and storage of DNA materials for the Ukrainian army has already been purchased to simplify the identification process, and it is necessary to define the material selection process.
“Human DNA will be digitized and stored in the military’s profile. The appropriate equipment for selecting, digitizing and storing DNA samples has already been purchased,” reads the message of Ukraine’s Ministry of Reintegration on its Telegram channel.

The Department noted that the legislation provided for the mandatory selection of biological material from military and law enforcement officers. Now it is necessary to establish the process of preliminary selection of DNA material.
Earlier, Pablo de Greef, a member of the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry into the events in Ukraine, called for the creation of a DNA database to identify missing persons in Ukraine and the creation of an appropriate unit.
