Polish Minister of National Security Mariusz Blaszczak said that Poland had delivered 10 MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.
“We delivered 10 MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine,” Blashak said in an interview after meeting with his Canadian counterpart Anita Anand in Ottawa.
The German government allowed Poland to re-export to Ukraine the MiG-29s that Berlin acquired from Moscow before the collapse of the Warsaw Pact.
In April, Polish President Andrzej Duda announced a plan to supply Ukraine with 14 MiG-29 fighters, while maintaining their modified versions to NATO standards.
