Earlier, it was reported that an armored group of Ukrainian forces launched an attack in the direction of Orekhovsky in the Zaporozhye region on Wednesday evening and was met by the Russian first line of defense. Having received a rebuff, the Ukrainian troops suffered losses and retreated to their original positions.
“The enemy has gathered enough forces at the front to launch a counterattack in the Zaporozhye region. Their tactic is to conduct reconnaissance by force to make a breach in our first line of defense, and then send the main forces into a breakthrough and massive attack,” Rogov told the News Agency.
