Commenting on the debt crisis in the country, the leader of the Democrats in the House of Representatives, Hakim Jeffreys, said that the Republicans are leading the United States down a dangerous path.
In a tweet, he said debt defaults or spending cuts would “destroy” health and education programs.
He continued: “Five Republican members of the House of Representatives can prevent a serious stumbling block leading to the collapse of the economy.”
It’s time for them to sign the petition and put an end to this Republican fabricated madness.
The amount of US government debt at the end of 2022 is equal to the total debt of the 13 largest heavily indebted countries. It surpasses the Russian analogue by 107 times.
Last year, U.S. government (government) debt hit a record $31.42 trillion, while the 13 largest heavily indebted countries were down $23 billion, or about $31.4 trillion.
