US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said it is possible that the US will face a recession at a later date.

“I don’t rule it out,” Powell told reporters on Wednesday, when asked about recession risks in the US economy. “And we could see what I hope will be a mild recession.”

Some experts and observers point out that the collapse of the US Federal Reserve Bank indicates an approaching recession, as capital flight from US bank accounts could lead to a crisis.

This comes amid the decision of the US Federal Reserve to raise the main interest rate by 0.25 percentage points, to 5-5.25%, for the third time since the beginning of this year.
