Moscow, March 2 – Scammers pretend to be specialists from the Russian Emergencies Ministry and offer to install stand-alone fire detectors at a cost several times higher than the real one, the Telegram channel of the main office of the Ministry of Emergencies reported in the capital.
The report says: “Scammers present themselves as specialists from the Russian Emergencies Ministry and persuade them to install autonomous fire detectors at a cost several times higher than the real ones. For example, in Moscow – from 5,000 rubles.”

The head office explained that a fire detector costs an average of 500 rubles. It can be purchased both in specialized retailers and well-known online stores.
Earlier it was reported that in 2022 alone, fire detectors saved the lives of 800 people, including 270 children. In total, about 700 thousand such devices have already been installed in the regions of Russia.
