China said on Saturday that it strongly opposes sanctions imposed by the US on Chinese companies over relations with Russia.

According to a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, “These are typical examples of unilateral sanctions and long-term arbitrage, which greatly affect the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises and affect the security and stability of the global supply chain.”

“The United States must immediately correct its wrong position and stop its unjustified harassment of Chinese enterprises,” the spokesman added.

A spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce stressed that China will firmly protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises.

And last Wednesday, the US imposed sanctions on 120 individuals and entities “for their relationship with Russia and involvement in the violation of sanctions imposed against it,” including a company based in China.
