Washington, April 19 – White House Press Secretary Karen Jean-Pierre said on Wednesday that US President Joe Biden still wants to speak to Chinese President Xi Jinping, but there is no news about such a call yet.
Jean-Pierre added that Washington still believes in the need to maintain open channels of communication with Beijing and the importance of bilateral relations in light of the strategic competition between the two countries.
