An anonymous group calling itself “The Noze Club” has offered the nose of a statue of soccer player Zlatan Ibrahimovic for $120,000.

According to the Sidsvenskan newspaper, “the members of the club” emailed an offer to the head of the Swedish parliament’s committee on culture, Jan Grönholm, to buy the artifact for 1.1 million crowns ($120,000).

Copies of the letter were also received by the sculptor who created the statue, Peter Lyde, and the mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala.

A statue of Zlatan Ibrahimovic was installed in October 2019 in Malmö, and a month later it became known that he had acquired a large stake in Hammarby, Malmö’s main competitor.

This sparked an angry backlash that led to several vandalism operations against the player’s three-meter-high statue.
