Global AI Investment to Plummet by a Third in 2022

Analyst firm CB Insights reports that global investment in artificial intelligence projects fell 34% to $45.8 billion last year.

According to the company’s report: “In 2022, there were 2,956 investment transactions in the global artificial intelligence industry, which is 10 percent less than in 2021.”

The report states that investment in the Russian market has almost halved.

And the analytics firm wrote: “Last year, 128 deals were closed compared to 291 in 2021, and investment was down 57 percent to $1.1 billion.”

According to experts, investment in new companies in the field of artificial intelligence is declining along with investment in global venture capital.

Thus, during the year, global investments in risky business decreased by 35 percent, while in 2021 their volume was a record.
