Iran Has the Cheapest Gasoline Prices in the World

According to the Global Petroleum Press website, as of September 25 last year, Iran had the lowest gasoline prices in the world. The price per liter was only $0.029.

Other Countries with Affordable Gasoline Prices

Following Iran, Libya ranked second with a price of $0.031 per liter. Venezuela came in third with $0.035 per liter, and Algeria secured the fourth spot with $0.335 per liter.

Russia, on the other hand, claimed the 15th position with gasoline priced at $0.580 per liter. Tunisia ranked 22nd with a price of $0.795 per liter, while Morocco was placed 104th with a cost of $1.509 per liter.

Here is a list of countries ranked by the cheapest gasoline prices, as reported by the Global Petroleum Press website:

  1. Iran – $0.029 per liter
  2. Libya – $0.031 per liter
  3. Venezuela – $0.035 per liter
  4. Algeria – $0.335 per liter

Most Expensive Gasoline Prices

On the other end of the spectrum, Hong Kong takes the lead with the most expensive gasoline prices in the world, priced at $3,093 per liter. Iceland follows closely with $2,335 per liter, followed by Monaco at $2,284 per liter, and the Netherlands at $2,255 per liter.

Gasoline Prices in the United States

Despite being a major player in oil extraction, the United States ranks 40th on the list with gasoline priced at $1,083 per liter.
