Today saw the release of the brand-new God of War Ragnarok update, version 4.0, which added tons of brand-new content to the game, including New Game Plus. For those who are still engrossed in Kratos’ (and Atreus’) most recent adventure, it is a significant update that includes more than just minor adjustments.
Despite the fact that New Game Plus is likely the crown jewel of the most recent God of War Ragnarok update, there is still a ton more to explore, including a raised level cap and a vast range of new items, improvements, changes, and even region expansions. It’s a massive upgrade, and the patch notes need to be seen to be believed.
After finishing God of War Ragnarok’s main story, you’ll have the option to enter New Game Plus at your convenience. This is pretty much the only thing that ‘NG+’ has to offer. But enough of that; let’s have a look at the substantial upgrade in all its splendor and find out what more is coming out.

There is a brand-new level cap, five new pieces of armor, and updated visuals for all currently available armor. Three new enchantments have been added, some of which offer significant stats boosts and new growth routes within the skill and stats trees.

With the addition of Niflheim, players can now take on the roles of Kratos or Atreus and battle with a variety of allies, including Freya, Sindri, Ingrid, and the fabled Thor. There is now a brand-new black-and-white render mode, so you may play through Niflheim and the rest of the game in monochrome if you like.
Many changes have been made, with Santa Monica Studio addressing endgame bosses and examining each difficulty setting to apply adjustments where necessary.
Of course, the God of War Ragnarok update includes a number of bug fixes and improvements, as with any patch of this scale.
