It has been speculated by a reputable pro-fighting game player that the Mortal Kombat 12 trailer could be released as soon as this week.
After winning six Evolution Championship Series tournaments across five distinct fighting game franchises and becoming the first-ever Final Kombat champion for Mortal Kombat 11, SonicFox, also known as Dominique Mclain, has emerged as a major figure in the world of competitive fighting games. Sonicfox is proficient in using a gamepad, particularly in Mortal Kombat. According to a tweet from their account, they have faith that an announcement will be made this week.
I think they're going to space.

Due to SonicFox’s history with Mortal Kombat and its position in the fighting game world, fans are cautiously enthusiastic despite falling for false promises of an official announcement for Mortal Kombat 12. Industry insider Jeff Grub, who is skeptical of their claim but thinks they are “heading to space,” lends credence to the possibility that they may be telling the truth.
It is difficult to determine whether Grubb is seriously making his claim or joking around with the fans. However, the franchise has surprised audiences with some wild plot turns. It is not outside the realm of possibility that this could take place.
The announcement that Mortal Kombat 12 will be released in 2023 was made during an earnings call for Warner Bros. Discovery last month. The call also confirmed the existence of the game. Since 2011 when they decided to give the series a new lease on life, Netherrelm has been on an unbroken roll of victories. As a result of Mortal Kombat 11 establishing a new standard for the series, fans are extremely excited about the next entry in the series. If it aims for a release date in 2023, it will face stiff competition from Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8, both of which are scheduled for release that year. This week, we will provide additional details as they become available.
