Al-Hilal vs Al-Fateh: Quarter-Final Result in Cup of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques

Saudi side Al-Hilal beat rivals Al-Fateh 3-1 in a meeting that brought the two teams together minutes ago in the quarter-finals of the King’s Cup.

The Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh hosted the match between the Blue Leaders and Al Fateh in the quarter-finals of the 2023 King’s Cup.

Al-Hilal reached the quarter-finals of the 2023 Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, defeating his colleague Al-Ettifak in the round of 16 with four unanswered goals.

As for Al-Fateh, he reached this round, at the expense of the Al-Thai team in the eighth final, with a score (7-6), with a penalty shootout, after the end of regular and extra time with a draw (1- 1).

Leader Al-Hilali opened the scoring in the 17th minute of the first half with a penalty kick scored by player Mohamed Kno, the penalty being awarded after a VAR technique check.

In the 27th minute, Al-Fateh came on and equalized with the first goal kicked by first team striker Firas Al-Buraikan, assisted by his teammate Patna.

The second goal was scored by Michel Richard Delgado, midfielder of Al Zayim, in the 48th minute of the match, increasing the difference between the Al Hilali team and its counterpart Al Fateh.

The leader’s third goal came through team striker Odion Ighalo in the 84th minute to make it difficult for him to open and close doors in front of him in search of any attempt to come back and win.

With this result, the “Blue Leader” advances to the semi-finals of the King’s Cup of Saudi Arabia, where they will meet with their colleague “Al-Ittihad” in Jeddah.

While the first football team of the Saudi Al-Nasr club meet with their counterpart, the Al-Wahda team, in the same role in the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh.
