Bitcoin’s Value Surpasses $30,000 for the First Time in Two Years.

Data from the Coindesk platform showed that by 5 a.m. Moscow time, the price of bitcoin had increased by more than 5% during commercial discussions, reaching $30,194 thousand.

By 05:22 Moscow time, the growth rate of the index accelerated and reached $30,381 thousand (+7.30%).

Bitcoin last exceeded $30,000 on June 10, 2022.

A few days ago, the Kommersant newspaper, citing experts from the largest data center operator, reported that Russia had risen to second place in the world in terms of the amount of power involved in cryptocurrency mining (1 gigawatt).

The newspaper stated that the US still leads the way in digital currency mining capabilities with 3-4 gigawatts of power, while Russia has a 1 gigawatt capacity.

The top ten included the Gulf countries (700 MW), Canada (400 MW), Malaysia (300 MW), Argentina (135 MW), Iceland (120 MW), Paraguay (100-125 MW), Kazakhstan (100 MW) and Ireland (90 MW).
