The first football team in the Red Castle is preparing for an important match against their Moroccan counterpart, Wydad Casablanca, in the first leg of the 2022-2023 CAF Champions League Final.
The “Red Genie” reached the final of the continental championship for the fourth time in a row, beating the Tunisian “Esperance” in the semi-final of the African Champions League, scoring four goals without answer on the aggregate of two legs.
While Moroccan team Wydad reserved their place against Jazira in the 2022–2023 CAF Champions League Final, after drawing goalless with the Sun Downs in Casablanca, there was a two-goal draw between the two for the same on South African soil.
The first leg of the Champions League final is scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the Cairo International Stadium, the stronghold of the Red Genie.
The kick-off whistle will sound at exactly 9:00 pm Cairo local time, provided that the second leg takes place at the Fifth Connection stadium, the stronghold of the Moroccan team in Casablanca, on the 11th of the same month.
