Coach’s Statements after the Al-Tai Match
Luis Castro acknowledged that the match against Al-Tai was challenging, especially considering it was an away game and only two days before their highly anticipated AFC Champions League match.
He explained, “The team had to play multiple matches in a short period, which led to fatigue, particularly in the second half. Usually, players have three days between matches, but having only two days is very difficult.”
Castro also mentioned that there were some defensive lapses during the match but emphasized the importance of pressure from the front line in preventing such situations. He added, “I understand the criticism regarding our defense, but sometimes it requires a collective effort.”
Highlighting the team’s mental strength, Castro expressed confidence in their ability to come back from behind and turn any result in their favor. He praised the passion and dedication of the players.
In conclusion, Castro expressed his gratitude towards the enthusiastic Al-Nasr fans who were present in large numbers. He dedicated the victory to them, acknowledging their continuous support.
