Spartak triumphs over Torpedo in Moscow derby despite two missed penalties and playing with only 9 players

The Spartak team won the capital Derby of Moscow against its neighbor Trepedo (2:1), which brought them together tonight, on Saturday, in the matches of the 23rd round of the Russian Football Premier League.

Spartak’s goals were scored by Senegalese strikers Keita Balde and Roman Zupnin in the 18th and 45th minutes, respectively.

While striker Iliya Stanovich scored the only goal for Torpedo when the match was running out.

In the match, Spartak Moscow players Keita Baldi and Ruslan Litvinov conceded two penalties in the 15th and 40th minutes respectively, while his players Ruslan Litvinov and Christopher Martins Pereira were sent off from Luxembourg in the 48th and 90th minutes respectively.

Moscow “Spartak” won the first victory after the defeat and two draws in a row, bringing their score to 45 points and finishing third in the standings with a goal difference from “Rostov”.

While Torpedo occupies the last place in the league table with only 11 points.
