AC reported Real Madrid made an offer to Asensio for a contract extension last season, but his agent (Jorge Mendez) did not negotiate with the club. This season, his contract with Real Madrid expires and is still awaiting renewal. The club may favor Ibrahim Diaz, who will return on June 30, meaning Asensio will leave unless Hazard comes out.

And the AS newspaper added: Asensio’s contract renewal depends on Brahim Diaz… the club has to choose only one of them, continuing: “There is one solution for Brahim and Asensio to stay together, but that is unlikely and difficult, that is Hazard’s departure. .”
Asensio said: “I’ve been through very difficult times. Those who have helped and supported me are the people of Madrid on the streets and on social media. They understand how I feel and how much I love this club and I appreciate these fans.”
