The Brazilian Neymar Jr, the French star of Paris Saint-Germain, has given a surprise about his future and his next step at the end of his career with the Paris team.
“One day I will return to the Santos club, I will return soon,” Neymar said in an interview with the Brazilian network Globo Sporte.
He added, “It’s great to be back home after 10 years. I came to support Santos in the match against Sao Paulo, but, unfortunately, the match ended in a draw.
He continued, “I’m very happy to be on this team because it’s like home to me, it introduced me to the world and gave me everything.”
The 31-year-old Neymar’s contract with Saint-Germain expires in the summer of 2025 with the option of a two-season extension until 2027.
Neymar moved from Santos to Barcelona in the summer of 2013 before joining Paris in the summer of 2017 in the most expensive deal in football history worth around 222 million euros.
