Prominent Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, an expert on player transfers in Europe, has revealed that more than one Saudi team is trying to sign Argentine Juventus star Angel Di Maria during next summer’s Mercato.

Angel Di Maria joined Juventus during the last summer transfer period on a one-season contract with French club Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

Many reports have confirmed that relations between the Argentine star and the Italian club have collapsed over the past few days.

The messages added: “The farewell to the Europa League forced Juventus to suspend negotiations to extend the contract of the Argentine player.”

Juventus are going through a difficult period after the decision of the Federal Court to deduct 10 points from the team’s balance sheet in the Italian league due to a capital gains problem.

Juventus have fallen from second place in Champions League qualification to seventh as they face a European absence next season.

Fabrizio Romano wrote on his Twitter account: “Angel Di Maria will evaluate his options in the coming weeks and will be looking for a new team as a free agent.”

The transfer expert added: “Several Saudi teams have contacted Di Maria to try to get a signing, but the player’s priority remains a move to a European team.”

It is noteworthy that Angel Di Maria (35 years old) played 37 matches in all competitions in a Juventus Bianconeri shirt, during which he managed to score 8 goals, in addition to 7 assists.
