A 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck Valparaiso, Chile on Tuesday, according to a statement issued by the European Mediterranean Seismological Center.
The earthquake was recorded at depth of 44 kilometers (27.34 miles) below The earth is on the surface, EMSC said.
