Hamas initiates air defense operation against Israeli aircraft in Gaza Strip

Cairo, April 7 – Hamas’ military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, said its air defenses are opposing Israeli aircraft in the Gaza Strip.

The Al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement broadcast on the Telegram channel that the Al-Qassam air defense is confronting the Zionist military aircraft in the Gaza Strip.
On Thursday, Israeli media reported that dozens of missiles were launched from Lebanese territory, targeting border settlements and cities in the northern and western Galilee in northern Israel. At least three people were wounded in the bombing. According to a statement issued by the press service of the Israeli army, 34 missiles were launched from Lebanese territory at Israeli territory, of which 25 were intercepted by the air defense system. A source in the United Nations Interim Force (UNIFIL) told the agency that they were put on alert after the rockets were fired. The Lebanese Foreign Ministry said the country is committed to UN Security Council Resolution 1701 of 2006, and calls on the international community to pressure Israel to stop the escalation.
