NATO condemned the attacks on the KFOR international security force in the Serbian province of Kosovo, confirming the number of casualties among the forces.
And the alliance said in a statement on Monday that “NATO strongly condemns the unjustified attacks on KFOR units in northern Kosovo that have resulted in casualties among them.”
NATO added: “These attacks are completely unacceptable. The violence must stop immediately.”
This comes against the backdrop of clashes between the police of the Kosovo province, which announced its unilateral withdrawal from Serbia, and the Serbian population in the north of the province, which organized protests against disagreement with the results of elections to local municipal councils. carried out by the separatist Albanian authorities in the north of the province last April.
