Ryabkov responds to US statements about potential strikes on Russian territory

Moscow, May 26 – Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Washington, with its statements about Kiev’s strikes on Russian soil, gives the Kiev regime carte blanche, and Moscow draws political and practical conclusions from this, including in the military sphere.

Ryabkov said: “What we have heard from Washington in recent days is a manifestation of arrogant guidance and self-confidence towards us and an affirmation of the absolute tolerance of Kiev.”

First, the United States declares that, since Crimea is not recognized as the sovereign territory of the Russian Federation, Kiev can use American weapons against it, but the next day in Washington they say that they “discourage” strikes on Russian territory itself, Ryabkov draws attention.

“This is the carte blanche, the carte blanche that the Americans issued to the Kiev regime. We draw conclusions from this – both politically and practically in the military sphere,” he stressed in an interview with International Affairs magazine.
