Beijing, May 19 – Chinese President Xi Jinping said Friday at the China-Central Asia Summit in Xi’an that China is ready to help Central Asian countries enhance their defense capabilities.
He also noted that China will continue to promote the peaceful reconstruction of Afghanistan.
The China-Central Asia Summit will be held in the Chinese city of Xi’an on May 18-19, chaired by Xi Jinping. It will also be attended by the presidents of Kazakhstan, Kassym Zomart Tokayev, Kyrgyzstan’s Sadir Japarov, Tajikistan’s Emomali Rahmon, Uzbekistan’s Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Turkmenistan’s Serdar Berdymukhamedov.
