Today, Friday, the Government of Canada announced more than $32 million in additional aid to Ukraine to mark the first anniversary of Russia’s special military operation.
The Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs released a statement indicating that it would contribute more than $32 million to support increased security and stability in Ukraine.
She indicated that the financial support will be divided into 3 areas: US$7.5 million will go towards demining and more than US$13 million will be allocated to efforts to ensure accountability and address sexual violence in conflict.
Canada is also providing $12 million to counter chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats.
Ukraine has previously provided a lot of military and economic support, including Leopard tanks, armored vehicles, and others.
