Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oji praised the close cooperation between his country and Saudi Arabia through OPEC meetings, noting that both sides have made good decisions in recent months.

He added: “There have been proposals to develop joint fields, an agreement has already been signed with the Sultanate of Oman, and we hope that agreements will be reached on a number of other joint oil fields with other countries.”

He stated that Iran has $40 billion agreements and $4.5 billion contracts with major Russian companies.

On the sidelines of the launch ceremony of the crude oil and gas condensate deposit certificate at the Energy Exchange, Iran’s oil minister said that the plan is aimed at attracting local investment and participation of the population in the sale of oil.

He added: “We hope that in the near future we will be able to cooperate with the Iranian Energy Exchange in the field of improving the use of gas in the country.”

He stressed that 72 million barrels of crude oil and gas condensate will be listed on exchange energy exchanges annually during this certificate.
