Today, Sunday, the Israeli media reported on the raging divisions between ministers within the government led by Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper and the Hebrew channel Kan reported that “War Minister Yoav Gallant warned National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir that he would boycott him if he continued to leak their private conversations to the media, as he did 3 times.”
The channel added: “On Friday, Ben Gvir tried to contact Minister Gallant to seek clarification regarding the arrest of the two settlers, but Gallant did not return the call, prompting Ben Gvir to contact the Prime Minister.”
Last night, former Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid called Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich a liar and Ben Gvir a Tik Tok clown.
Lapid said: “Ben Gvir continues to incite and encourage violence and it has never happened before that a government minister has openly incited a confrontation between the police and the public.”
Parallel to the internal conflict, thousands of Israeli demonstrators have been taking part in mass demonstrations for the ninth consecutive week, protesting against the policies of the Netanyahu government and its plans to change the judiciary.
